Civil War Living History Encampment & Annual Harvest Festival

September 28-29, 2019

Go back in time at the Wilder Homestead in Burke, NY. This annual two day event opens up the Almanzo Wilder Homestead to see what Civil War encampments and skirmishes entailed.

  • Civil War living history encampment and skirmishes.

  • Pumpkin painting and children’s 19th century games, children’s corn pit, more!

  • 10th Annual “As Time Passes” adult juried art show on display

  • Entertainment, demonstrators, craft & produce vendors.

    Sept. 29 Open extended Sunday hours 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Civil War re-enactors living history encampment and one skirmish.
    Regular admission and guided tours available. Last tour at 3pm.

There is plenty of fun for the kids with 19th century games in the apple orchard, pumpkin painting, children's corn pit in the barn, readings from "Farmer Boy," food, beverages, and fresh donuts!
