Adirondack Folk Legend Roy Hurd joins Long Lake Native Alex Smith in a Nashville style “Songwriters in the Round” Friday, June 8th at 7 PM at the Chateaugay Town Hall Theater.
Roy Hurd is a dynamic performer and a world-class singer/songwriter. His song Adirondack Blue has become a modern-day Adirondack anthem, and his recordings are regional best sellers. With a voice as deep and dark as an Irish Stout, Alex Smith is a natural storyteller who is creating poignant songs rooted in the heritage of his Adirondack home. They will be bouncing songs and stories back and forth, showcasing work from their latest respective albums “Journey On” (Roy Hurd) and “Close to Home” (Alex Smith) as well as playing some old favorites. This evening will be full of spontaneity and surprises!
Admission for the concert is $10/advance or $15/door with ages 12 and under FREE. Tickets are available on our website: www.chateaugayny.org and at the following outlets: IBC in Malone, Alix’s in Chateaugay and Dick’s Country Store in Churubusco. The Chateaugay Town Hall Theater is newly renovated and handicap accessible with free parking and 395 seating capacity with balcony. There is also a full bar located downstairs and guests can also enjoy a wine & cheese tasting at intermission! We are located at 191 E. Main St., Chateaugay, NY (518) 497-3126.
