May is bike and Walk to School Month! Safe Routes to School, (SR2S) is asking you to give it a try. Weekly Prizes and Drawings! Some examples are walk to school with your child, take turns walking to school with other parents in your neighborhood, buddy up and find a friend for your kids to go with, plan enough time to walk or bike to school. Open Mic Night every Thursday evening at Mo's Pub and Grill at 7:00 pm. They are looking for local talent to sing and/or play guitar - basically show off your talents. Their May Charity will be for the United Way with all funds raised to be used for program in the greater Malone area.

The public is invited to attend a book signing, Then Comes the Harvest by Danny Stone a native of Malone. This will be held from 4 – 6 pm at the home of John and Nancy Child, 154 Child Road, Malone. Hard copy editions will be sold for $20 with the total proceeds will be awarded to a graduating FA student who plan to continue his or her education in the humanities.
The Malone's veterans organization will host a Memorial Day parade. This tribute is for our past and present veterans, our departed comrades and our P.O.W.'s and M.I.A.'s. The parade will begin at 10 am. on Brewster Street down Main Street and stopping at Veterans Park where we will have a brief ceremony. We will proceed to the American Legion Home, corner of Elm and Morton Streets for our ceremonies.
