Malone, NY: Titus Mountain Family Ski Center is inviting Canadian visitors to ski and stay with Canadian dollars at par. Your Canadian dollars equal U.S. dollars in a package including lift tickets and lodging at nearby hotels.
An easy drive over the Canadian border, the 2,025- foot summit ski center is just 2 1/2 -hours from Ottawa and an hour south of Montreal. It is home to 50 trails and glades over three inter-connected mountains, as well as a two lane tubing hill, accessed by 10 lifts.
As the name implies, Titus Family Ski Center in Malone, NY is big on being family-friendly. The Titus Teddy Learning Area has a magic carpet lift and private lessons just for kids, and there are even two mascots, Titus Teddy and Shredding Betty, to make things fun.
And at Titus, newbies don't have to worry about getting on the wrong lift because all of them access easy trails. There are also three terrain parks, one of which is considered forever wild and never gets groomed. The "Best Kept Secret" program allows their ski school to create programs center around your needs, rather than try to meet your needs into a program.
There's also a tubing area, which is the perfect way to get non-skiers out in the snow. When you're ready for more, you'll find 50 trails -- the majority are easy to intermediate -- carved into three interconnected mountains. Eleven of those trails are lit up at night, too. What really sets this mountain apart is the ability for guests to enjoy the sunset while skiing the slopes at night (and this includes their terrain parks and tubing).
Amenities are big at Titus: The entire Upper Mountain can be rented for events like family reunions or corporate team-building. There are also ski-in, ski-out chalets and cabins that allow you to strap on your gear and go right from your lodging!
You won't go hungry with three slope-side eateries to choose from - from burgers to brews. The onsite tune-up and repair shop technicians will make sure your gear is at its best. No gear? No problem...their rental shop is stocked with all the new gear you need.
