This lovely nature walk doubles as a cross country ski trail in the winter. Flat broad paths end at a viewing station at the edge of a box, where there is an interpretive sign about its lifecycle. There's a picnic table and handicap ramp access to the covered observation deck.
Fern-lined dirt trails with short gradual inclines and easy walking are outlined on the map board at the parking lot. The left-hand path leads along a smooth path behind the historic,Romanesque Revival church from 1844, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
