Come to this annual summer event and bring the kids! There will be children's art activities (paint a pig and take it home!) and the 19th century games that Almanzo and his friends would have played. The Children's Art show will be on display in the schoolhouse and this year's Honorary Laura and Almanzo will be announced, chosen from the essays submitted by children who have studied the Farmer Boy story this year. Food and craft vendors, life skills demonstrators, and self guided tours of the Wilder buildings are all on tap. Enjoy live bluegrass fiddling by Marjorie Kelting and Terry McGill!
