Slush Pond Trail

Fishing Holes

Directions to Access Points:

From the intersection of Route 458 and Route 30 north of Paul Smiths, follow Route 30 south. Continue to Slush Pond Road on the right. Drive this dirt rough road to the shore of Slush Pond.

Shoreline Fishing:

Very limited with grassy shores. Using a boat is best.

Boat Access:

With a very shallow structure a cartop boat works best, but it is also possible to use a small boat with a light engine. The shores are very grassy but fairly productive trout waters.

Fish Species:

Brook trout, brown trout, bullhead

Special Regulations:

Always follow State fishing regulations and be sure to pick up a NYS Freshwater Fishing Guide at your local outfitters or regional NYSDEC office.
