This lake is known for pike.
It covers 350 acres, with an average depth of 17 feet which drops to a maximum depth of 38 feet.
Paul Smiths College is at the northern end of the lake.

Alternately, paddle in from above the outlet dam on Keese Mill Road, or the Upper St Regis Lake boat launch.
Access via Lower St. Regis Lake lets paddlers explore Spitfire and Upper St. Regis Lakes on their way to the Saint Regis Canoe Area.
